Texas Leads in GDP Growth

The Lone Star State saw the fastest growth of any state in the U.S. in real GDP during the fourth quarter of 2017.

According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, at 5.2 percent change in real GDP, Texas outperformed every other state in the nation during Q4 2017.

Mining and construction were the leading contributors to the increase in real GDP, which put Texas well ahead of other fast-growth states like Florida (3.7 percent), Oregon (3.7 percent), California (3.4 percent) and Colorado (3.2 percent).  Read More
