Nokia Oyj Store And High Street Retail As Finland Struggles With Recession

New management at Uptown Village at Cedar Hill has come through with its first big tenant announcement.

Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co. took over the shopping center located on Highway 67 and FM 1382 last year and has plans to update the center’s common areas, including access from the highway, and fill store vacancies.

H&M is opening a 21,000 square foot store in the Cedar Hill shopping center this fall. It will be located in space vacated by Coldwater Creek and Which Wich.

Sweden-based Hennes & Mauritz AB has 14 stores in Texas and earlier this week announced it will also open in Fort Worth’s Ridgmar Mall. Two months ago it said it will open a store in downtown Fort Worth. H&M has accelerated its expansion plans nationwide, not just in Texas.

The Cedar Hill store will include men’s, women’s, including plus sizes, and children’s clothing. It plans to employ about 25 people.
