BURLINGTON CLOTHING STORE COMING TO CEDAR HILL THIS FALL

Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation (CHEDC) is pleased to further announce the addition of Burlington clothing store to the area this fall.  The EDC office continues working with and assisting local brokers with area developments in Cedar Hill.  “A new marketing initiative from our office is drone video,” said Allison Thompson, Director of Cedar Hill EDC.  “It’s an innovative new medium we are utilizing to further assist developers working throughout Cedar Hill.”

Transwestern’s Dallas office recently boasted in their release:  “[we] used a customized marketing approach, including a drone video and newly created renderings of the proposed storefront, to enable Burlington to better visualize the opportunity.”

Mason Bishop, Transwestern Senior Vice President, represented ownership affiliate Retail Plaza’s Inc. in the transaction.  “Large anchor boxes are typically on the market for an average of 33 months, so leasing one of the center’s two available anchor spaces within six months speaks to the viability of the Cedar Hill trade area and prime location of the shopping center,” said Bishop.

Burlington, a leading national off-price retailer, will open the new 48,136 square foot store in fall 2015.  The new Burlington will be located at The Market at Cedar Hill shopping center at 229 East FM 1382.  This opening will bring approximately 50-100 new jobs to the Cedar Hill community and will be one of the 59 Burlington locations in the state of Texas.

“We are thrilled to open a new Burlington in the Cedar Hill community, brining even more jobs to the neighborhood and providing local residents with a valued shopping experience,” said Tom Kingsbury, chairman and CEO of Burlington Stores, earlier this month in their announcement of the project.
