Filming in Cedar Hill
Located at the highest elevation between the Red River and the Gulf of Mexico, Cedar Hill has a wide variety of beautiful topography and vegetation, residential housing and neighborhoods, and retail and office establishments. Because of this and Cedar Hill’s vicinity to Dallas, there has been increased interest in filming in Cedar Hill. And now, the City is a certified Film Friendly Community through the Texas Film Commission!
Film Friendly Community Certification
“Through the Film Friendly Texas certification program, Texas communities learn about the production process and how to effectively work with filming requests. Certified communities have attended a day-long training workshop; passed a film policy approved by the Texas Film Commission; and sent location photos for inclusion in TexScout, the Texas Film Commission’s on-line location database. We’re proud of these cities for taking this initiative, and we encourage you to see what they have to offer.”
