Texas Ranked Best State to Start a Business

WalletHub has released its 2019 rankings report on the best and worst states to start a business and Texas leads the pack once again with a total score of 61.05 – surpassing Utah, Georgia, North Dakota, and Oklahoma.

WalletHub analyzed each state across 26 indicators of startup success to determine these results. Key indicators of success in this study include the availability of skilled workers, small business growth, accessible financing, low labor costs, affordable office space and more.

Texas ranked first for the business environment, fourth for highest average growth in the number of small businesses and fifth for highest total spending on incentives as a percentage of GDP. Texas also earned the No. 1 rank in 2018.
