idX Opens New Texas Facility

ST. LOUIS, MO--idX Corporation, the preeminent manufacturer of consumer environments, has announced it will open a new facility near Dallas, TX, bringing the company's total capacity to more than 3 million square feet.

The new facility, located in the Dallas suburb of Cedar Hill, will offer wood manufacturing, panel processing, metal prototyping, assembly, finishing, post-lamination, warehousing and distribution.

The 260,000-square foot building includes 23 dock doors, 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space and a 170,000-square foot warehouse.

"The new facility positions idX to respond to the needs of our valuable customers in the region and to prepare for continued future growth," said idX CEO Terry Schultz.

Heading up the new idX Dallas division as General Manager is Robert McDonald, who joined idX in late 2012. McDonald was formerly Vice President of Operations for PIN and General Manager of Leggett & Platt's Tarrant Interiors division.

"idX Dallas will provide solid manufacturing and distribution solutions that support our customer's strategic business needs," McDonald said. "As Texas has some of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., Dallas is an ideal location for idX."

With this new division, idX now offers the market more than 3 million square feet of manufacturing/warehousing capacity and close to 1,500 employees in 19 cities around the globe.
