NU welcomes Newman Academy to Cedar Hill Campus

Newman International Academy (NIA) an open-enrollment, college-prep, public charter school based in Arlington, Texas, will open a new charter school location at Northwood University’s campus in Cedar Hill, Texas. The school will be known as Newman International Academy at Cedar Hill.

Northwood University will continue operating its Adult Degree Program (ADP) and DeVos Graduate School of Management while sharing the campus with the charter school, which serves 1,000 students from pre-K to 12th grade.

"Northwood University is entering its 49th year of providing premiere, business-focused entrepreneurial education in Cedar Hill,” says Kevin G. Fegan, president of Northwood’s Texas operations. "We will continue this focus through our flexible and convenient undergraduate and graduate degree programs for working, career-oriented professionals at the campus. And, we look forward to Newman International Academy sharing space with us.”

Northwood University also has a campus located at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Texas. The university’s fall undergraduate semester begins on Aug. 31.
